The Strait of Georgia in British
Columbia, Canada boasts almost 200 islands of various shapes and
sizes, that make up this region nestled between the east coast of
Vancouver Island and the mainland of BC. Salt Spring Island, home of
Ganges Marina, lies in the southern strait. Deep Cove

and most accessible enjoys a unique microclimate. Fondly called the
"Banana Belt" it is known as the "Organic Gardening Capital of
Canada." Visitors are treated to local food, music and crafts,
stemming from their unique brand of "island ingenuity". Local
artists, farmers, and food vendors who have "made it, baked it, or
grown it" themselves host the Saturday Market.
Ganges Marina, located in Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island, is within easy
walking distance to all of the local amenities. There is no shortage
of activities to occupy visitors of all ages. From treasure seeking
to night life, summer festivals and arts events, nature walks and
boating adventures, swimming and horseback riding, theatre and fine
Deep Cove, North Vancouver BC is as much a concept as it is a location.
Situated at the extreme eastern end of the North Shore on the
Mainland it lies at
the base of Mount Seymour Provincial Park. There is no
community in the Lower Mainland with more of a mystique. It is where
two bodies of water meet, Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm. It has more
recreational opportunities within reach than most other communities.
