Deep Cove North Shore Marina
is within walking distance to the village of Deep Cove. Considered
the "hidden secret" of Vancouver, the quaint village of Deep Cove
features a fine selection of restaurants, a cultural center
comprising of an art gallery and live theatre as well as select and
unique gift shops and the most relaxing scenery you'll find
anywhere. Local artisans show and sell their creations in local
shops. Several festivals throughout the year such as "Deep Cove
Daze" in August and concerts in the park every weekend in July and
August welcome the local residents and visitors.
Deep Cove is a jumping-off point
for exploring Indian Arm, a steep-sided, 18-mile (30-km) pristine
fjord that branches north from Burrard Inlet just east of the Second
Narrows Bridge. You can explore the south end of Indian Arm,
including the islands that comprise Indian Arm Provincial Marine
Park.
Deep Cove is a starting pint for
hikes along the Baden-Powell Trail that traverses the North Shore to
Horseshoe Bay The shores of the Cove are the gateway to one of BC's
Provincial Parks in Indian Arm. Use your own boat or rent a smaller
one from the marina for a few hours and enjoy the tranquility of
this unique area with its sheltered waters.
